Welcome all.
The Backward Ireland Website is for people that love Ireland but sometimes hate it being in the hands of politicians, lay-abouts and the unworthy. There are very smart people out there that could handle a task part of running the country so much better than the crowd in the Daíl but haven't the desire or time to devote their life to working their way up the ranks in politics to implement change.
But hey this isn't a site for bashing the politicians but oh boy God love them. Actually it's a site to thrash out the solutions and for people to be heard. It's a form of silent protest where we state meticulously what we want. We can think laterally and not be concerned about public opinion. So whether your passion is about the state of the roads or the state of the health service or your local sports ground be heard here. Speak up about taxes, bin charges and water rates, ex-pats and immigrants. If you like many think that Bertie is "Out of Touch" about a particular case then say why here. If you know better then let us all know, and then let us all put pressure on the government together to get Ireland moving forward. Let this site show that it's not just 1 little guy having a rant and being left to feel insignificant and hushed up but rather a nation of people that want a great country from the taxed share of their labour that they have provided.
